The Platform
We do not grade the answer. We read the reasoning.
A Concrete Walkthrough
A child is working through an exercise. As they work, Edulwise accompanies the process. The engine reads the reasoning journey as it unfolds, following every hesitation, correction, and strategy shift in real time.
Is the child building a structured approach? Testing ideas? Or losing their way and quietly giving up? Because the system is process-aware, it recognizes these cognitive states as they emerge, not after the fact.
When a child reaches a moment of struggle, Edulwise does not take over. It offers a gentle, respectful nudge that points the child back toward their own thinking, then steps back. The child remains in control. They choose how to respond, which path to take, and how to move forward. The platform accompanies. The child decides.
Meanwhile, the teacher sees none of this as raw data or risk scores. The Didactic Translation Layer translates what the engine reads into plain-language pedagogical insight, integrated directly into the teacher's workflow. From there, the teacher holds the final say. They can let the scaffolding continue, step in personally, adjust the task, or override any recommendation with one click. The AI is a tool in the teacher's hand. It extends the teacher's professional judgment, and the teacher decides what happens next.
The Diagnostic Engine
Reads the reasoning journey in real time, following every hesitation, correction, and strategy shift as the child works. Because it is process-aware, the engine recognizes cognitive struggle before discouragement sets in. Every error becomes formative feedback that keeps the child in the learning activity, so support arrives in time, not after the fact.
Reading the Moment
A bad day is not a knowledge gap. A careless mistake. Tiredness. Hunger. A moment of distraction. Every child has a natural level, and any of these can push them below it. Traditional systems read all of these as a lack of knowledge. Edulwise reads the difference. Our engine reads each child's current state against their own baseline, so a temporary dip is never mislabeled as a permanent gap. The child is never told they lack knowledge when they simply cannot use it today. This protects their confidence, their motivation, and their record.
Zero-Imperative Scaffolding
Offers respectful hints to students that automatically fade as they grow. Support that steps back as competence builds, so children learn to stand on their own. We design deliberate friction, guiding students to recognize their own cognitive struggle rather than passively consuming accommodations.
The Blueprint
Built natively on the PAIEd governance framework, published by UNESCO and IRCAI. Our architecture is not an afterthought bolted onto ethics. The ethics are the architecture.
The Loop
Observe. Name. Act. And repeat, every moment of every lesson.
Currently being used in French-speaking classrooms.
