Equity, Accessibility, and Inclusion

For a truly inclusive education.

Every child deserves to be seen, supported, and given access to learning regardless of their language, their cognitive profile, or the resources available in their school.

The language wall

A Child Can Understand the Mathematics Perfectly, Yet Cannot Read the Question

A child who speaks one language at home and learns in another may understand the mathematics perfectly, yet cannot read the question. That wall costs 2 to 4 years of learning (PISA 2022). And it is visible at every stage. OECD Young Learners shows it at age 5. COFO shows it at age 7. PISA measures it at age 15. The same wall, at ages 5, 7, and 15. It does not close on its own. It compounds.

Language is the gateway to every other subject. That is why Edulwise begins with reading comprehension. If a child cannot decode the language of instruction, they cannot access the rest of the curriculum.

The invisible struggle

70% of Neurodivergent Students Are Never Diagnosed

70% of neurodivergent students are never diagnosed. Unseen, they remain unsupported. Accessibility tools are there, text-to-speech, dictionaries, hints, but no one knows how to use them at the right moment. Tools and "autonomy" are handed to children with no guidance on when to use them. Freedom without direction simply widens inequality.

Our research quantifies this failure. Overall, these tools are used in less than 9% of cases, and 74% of students persist in unproductive cognitive states without targeted help. We measure this exact failure using an adequacy ratio, which tracks how often a student successfully uses a help tool exactly when they need it. For most students, this rate is only 13.3%. But for neurodivergent students, it drops to just 6.5%, that is less than half. The children who need the safety net the most are only half as likely to successfully reach for it. However, in both cases, every student needs much better support.

70%of neurodivergent students never diagnosed
<9%of accessibility tools used strategically
6.5%adequacy ratio for neurodivergent students (vs 13.3% overall)

Edulwise bridges this gap by delivering targeted support to each child, at the right moment. This support acts as fading scaffolding, teaching students how to use these tools well and building their independence, making the platform genuinely inclusive for every student.

Infrastructure accessibility

Built for Every Classroom, Not Just High-Resource Ones

Edulwise is not built solely for high-resource environments. It is built for every classroom. Our architecture is also designed to run in low-resource settings because:

  • We can deploy instantly. It runs locally on classic, existing classroom hardware.
  • We can process in real time. Under 12 milliseconds inference on school computers. No expensive GPUs required.
  • We can go completely offline. Our architecture allows fully disconnected deployment for the Global South if needed, and is inherently low-cost to run.

Bring This to Your Classrooms

If you want to discuss how Edulwise can address the language wall, support neurodivergent students, or deploy in resource-constrained settings in your region, let's talk.
